I chose Arnold Brothers (Academy) to take my class 1 training due to the convenience of living close by and because of there positive reputation.
I was very satisfied with my experience. First 2 weeks in classroom was great , the instructor Fred is an awesome teacher, was a fun environment to be in which helped the 2 weeks of in class go by fast.
The next 2 weeks in the truck we learned, pre trip, air brake and coupling, shifting/floating and got into some driving in preparation for the phase 1 (Coupling, air brake & pre trip) testing at Mpi, after passing phase 1 we moved onto the next 2 weeks focusing on driving, backing, turning , specialty turns, in preparation for phase 2 (road test).
I was successful on both phases, on my first attempts , which I give all credit to my instructor Pritpal, who i was very fortunate to have been placed with, he is an amazing instructor, his teaching style was perfect for my learning style.
After 6 weeks of training , I completed my MELT and Passed both MPI test and have successfully obtained my Class 1 license.
I highly recommend (ABT Academy) to anyone who is looking to get there Class 1.
